"Scorpic Treble" is the award winning hook design from VMC that is certain to interest Australian anglers. This treble combines a large wide gape single hook with a smaller double hook for a maximum percentage of hook-ups.

A rotated ring brings all the benefits of VMC "inline treble" hooks to the Scorpic range. This "inline" ring keeps the larger wide gape hook in the most effective position during each retrieve, making Scorpic trebles ideal as a belly hook or tail hook.

The 8538 3X strong Scorpic hooks have a black nickle finish and are sold in packets of 5 hooks in sizes 2, 1, 1/0, 2/0 and 3/0. One typical application (with one point up and one down) is shown in the photo. Anglers can use these hooks with confidence, as a variety of VMC trebles are factory fitted to top quality products including "Rapala " and "Storm" lures. Scorpic trebles are now available from fishing tackle outlets.

▲TopDYNACUT BIG GAME HOOKS

VMC has released two patterns of big game hooks suitable for local offshore species. Their exclusive Dynacut point has been developed for big game fishing, with a unique design that allows the hook to easily penetrate the hardest part of the jaw of game fish such as Marlin, Shark and giant Tuna.

The sharp point penetrates first, followed by a triangular cutting edge that ends in a strong, sharp barb. Each hook is hand tuned to achieve perfect sharpness. A coating is applied after sharpening to protect the surface and ensure maximum resistance to corrosion.

VMC Big Game Dynacut Hooks are now available in two patterns, the 8705 TI (the two hooks on left of the picture),available in sizes 7/0 to 13/0, and the 8709 TI hook (on the right), in sizes 7/0 to 12/0. Both patterns have a tinned finish and are sold in packs of 2 hooks.

VMC claim they have ready to fish, ultra sharp Big Game points and can be used out of the packet without any additional sharpening. The 8705 and 8709 are now available from fishing tackle specialists.
