this is just a thought i had what about if spooled organised a series of angling comps for different fish for different states e.g tassie trout, victoria makos, south oz snapper, queensland flathead, northern territory barra, n.s.w yellowfin tuna, w.a marlin |

Not a bad idea. We would like to here everyone else's thoughts on the subject. While we are not quite sure if we would be able to pull it off in terms of time commitments (we are adding many many things to Spooled over the next year - both internal and external - We would like to tell you all more, but the walls are listening, if you get our drift) Any other idea's or suggestions to expand on the Toothy's idea. A species specific comp may limit the anglers (no boat, or dont know how to fish for a particular species). We like the idea though. |

Yeah that sounds like an excellent idea toothy. Would need a little bit more thought but im sure the members here can provide lots of ideas and info. I for one would be in it for the South Oz Snapper bit..... cheers Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention to arrive safely and in a well preserved body, but rather to slide in sideways, thoroughly used and screaming hell yeah what a trip |

We have now return from a sensational trip fishing Darwin's Dundee Beach Finniss River. We shot a large amount of footage and hope to have our first DVD soon. Look out for the Spooled Trip report soon. |

I can't wait to see that DVD. I got my first barra on fly in the Finniss river. Got 30 barra and countless tarpon for the day. What a great place. Except where we put in there was no boat ramp so we had to slide the boat down the bank to get it in and then winch it out.

There are a few boat ramps their but you still need to know what you are doing around them. We went with one of our VIP's Geoff Corry We have been out with Geoff before and know how good he is which is why we elected for Dundee Beach again with him.
