▲TopArticle Text
This is where the main body of your report should be written.
If you feel more comfortable writing your article in MS word or a similar type word processor program you can.
You can then, copy and paste the text into the Article Text box. (remember you will have to make some adjustments as things like Bold Lettering will needed to be adjusted within the Spooled editor as it is converting what you write to a language viewable within a website which is a different computer language to word processors).
While the Article Text editor is a reasonably simple editor in comparison to the likes of large word processors, it still allows you the ability to be able to "Spell Check" your work, "Preview", add Bold Lettering, Italics and Underline your text as well as add five sizes of Header text.
The above features are represented by B = Bold, I = Italics, U = Underline with H1 the largest header through to H5 being the smallest. (These appear just above the "Article Text" box, as does the "Insert" box.
▲TopThe "Insert" feature
The insert feature allows you to quickly and easily insert certain things into your Reports, these things are useful in creating a great looking Entry that is not just easy to read, but very practical in it's ability to be able to allow you both internal and external links.
▲TopInternal Link
This allows you to reference another section of the Spooled website or even another article you have written.
To insert an Internal link click the Insert drop-down menu (above the text editor) select the "Internal Link" menu item (see below)
the website will then prompt you for the Page Name - enter the page name. This needs to be only the extension not the actual whole URL Eg - if you wanted to link to
the Spooled website will then prompt you for the text you want displayed for the link, it may be as simple as, Snowy - Monaro Fishing Report. Enter the text you would like displayed and click OkAn example of this is below
Eg,
The Fingermark have begun to move up much earlier then they would usually as mentioned by Rob Laspina last month in his article
Townsville to Hinchenbrook Channel. (This is an example of one use, however the tool has many applications.
▲TopExternal Link
The external link feature allows you (as the name suggests) to place a link within your report to an external source. Operating much the same as the Internal Link section once selected from the Drop-down menu the website will prompt you for the URL (website address) you wish to link to, then you simply click Ok*.
It will then prompt you for the text you wish to have displayed for the link, enter the text and click Ok.
The Spooled program will have now entered the appropriate coding for you.
▲TopUser Link
This feature allows you to display another users link or your own within an article for instance.
Eg,
It was a tragic day in the office the other day so
starlo and I decide we'd chase some Bream with a few Squidgies.
▲TopPage Break
This inserts a page break.
▲TopQuote
Inserting a Quote is just as easy as inserting anything else within the Spooled website and how it will be displayed is as follows
This is how your text will appear if you decide to insert a Quote.
If you would like to insert one manually without using the insert drop-down you can do so by placing one SPACE before you wish to Highlight. It will highlight any and all text up until your next return (enter).
▲TopImage
To insert an Image, move the cursor to the area of your Report where you wish the image to be insert by clicking within the editor with your mouse. When you have the cursor at the area you wish to insert the image select the "Image" item for the Drop-down menu. This will open a pop-up for you to enter your required image.

▲TopLink To
This option is if you wish to link your image to and external site.
▲TopCaption
This will be displayed underneath your photo within your Report.
▲TopKeywords
These help us categorize your article. For instance if a user does a search on a Flathead and you have entered the word Flathead in your keywords the Spooled search feature (to be added) will return your article. Be sure and enter the the common names for the fish as well as this allows Spooled to learn. So in the case of Flathead you may also want to enter, Flatties, lizards, etc.
▲TopSave Article
Is as simple as it sounds. Once you have finished entering your Report be sure and click is to save your work. It is always good practice to Save as you go so as not to loose your work, especially if the article you are entering is rather long.
